I have a 13-year history in law enforcement, and I believe my experience in law enforcement will add a fresh new perspective to this seat. The people in Union County placed their confidence in me in the voting booth to serve and protect our neighborhoods—I plan to take this same commitment to serve and protect the people of Union and Campbell counties to Nashville. One of the other things that make me unique is my family roots in both counties and my incentive will always be to work hard for the families who have made Union and Campbell Counties their home. My leadership roles have affected 3 counties including Union, Campbell and Knox through my vice-presidency in the Tennessee Constable Council, as active vice-chairman of Union County’s E-911 and board member of Keep Union County Beautiful. I am a Leadership Union County Graduate and have served Knox County through my duties as a Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy. These experiences have allowed me to understand more about our communities and much of the process required to be an effective leader. My journey has prepared me to make the informed and strong decision necessary to be effective on behalf of our district in Nashville.

I am a candidate for the people—my time in public service as a Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy and as a Union County Constable has revealed to me many realities about current laws that I would like to see changed to help victims of crime. I have adopted a platform, part of which calls for improved laws for victims of crime and a no-tolerance approach for those violating ethical conduct while employed in public service.

The role of public education is very important to me and I plan on working with both school systems in the 36th district to identify resources to reach their full potential.
